Merlewood, Grange Over SandsThis prestigious development by The Holiday Property Bond has converted a Victorian Gentleman’s Residence, previously occupied by ‘The Institute of Terrestrial and Aquatic Ecology’ into an exclusive leisure club with swimming pool and nine apartments. The leisure club incorporates a new swimming pool at basement level to the rear of the existing building. Its design required the formation of an underpinning scheme sympathetic to the sensitive nature of the existing building. A further 45 new build cottages and apartments were completed in 2012. We have undertaken a few projects in The Borough
over recent years. This Grade 2 listed building
stands in a prominent position in Lancaster city
centre and we have recently been able to assist in
the installation of a micro-brewery in the cellar
of the public house. The provision of guest
accommodation on the top floor and the extension
into the adjoining property has been our most
recent involvement. This exciting development is

This beautiful Grade 2 listed hotel has undergone
extensive refurbishment over recent years. We have
been able to assist in extending the number of
suites accommodated in the property, and also with
the construction of a new conservatory.
